Clamouse Cave
Remarkable Place, Grotte de Clamouse et Pont du Diable
The Clamouse cave is located close to St Gilhem le Désert, in the "Gorges de l’Hérault". Its amazing abundance of stalagmites and stalactites have made it one of the most popular caves in France.
It is a living cave, being continually hollowed out by an underground river fed by rainwater and snowmelt filtering through from the chain of the Seranne hills and the southern Causse of the Larzac.
